Why are Norse runes the basis of the renewed Gearlimits logo?

We are excited to announce that Gearlimits has a new logo starting today! But why are we taking this step? It’s not a marketing gimmick or an impulsive change. On the contrary, we have thought thoroughly and decided that it is time to renew our brand image. This article will discuss the reasons behind this change and the significance of the Norse runes incorporated into the new logo.

As the leading platform for active lifestyle enthusiasts, we believe in continuous growth and evolution. Our current logo has served us faithfully for many years, but it is time to refresh. We want to provide our community with a fresh and modern visual experience that better reflects the dynamic world of outdoor activities.

Why a new logo for Gearlimits?

The old logo served its purpose well, but as the platform grew and evolved, it became clear that there was a need for a fresh look that better aligns with Gearlimits’ target audience and values. The new logo is modern, minimalist and exudes adventure and innovation.

Why Norse runes are the basis of renewed Gearlimits logo

Norse runes

The most prominent feature of the new Gearlimits logo is the Norse runes we incorporated into it. This choice is not accidental but has a deeper meaning that matches the platform’s identity for people with an active lifestyle who essentially endorse good material (gear). The Norse runes in the logo add aesthetic value and have profound meanings that resonate with Gearlimits’ values; strength, adventure, wisdom and leadership – all essential elements in outdoor activities.

Uruz

URUZ

The first rune in the logo is Uruz. Uruz stands for strength, energy and vitality. It symbolizes the physical and mental strength needed to undertake outdoor activities. With this rune, Gearlimits wants to show they stand for adventure, perseverance and courage.

Laguz

LAGUZ

Laguz, the second rune in the logo, represents water. Water plays a vital role in many (outdoor) activities, such as kayaking, surfing, swimming and diving. In addition, water symbolizes intuition and emotional balance. With Laguz, Gearlimits wants to emphasize their focus on physical performance and creating a balanced lifestyle.

Ansuz

ANSUZ

The third rune in the logo is Ansuz. This rune symbolizes communication and wisdom. Gearlimits is a platform that shares information and experiences with its readers, and Ansuz represents this knowledge exchange. It also stands for creativity and inspiration, essential elements in the outdoor world.

Tiwaz

TIWAZ

Finally, we have Tiwaz, the fourth rune in the logo. This rune represents justice, courage and leadership. With Tiwaz, Gearlimits wants to show that they are an authority in the field of equipment for outdoor activities. We want to inspire our visitors to push their limits and show leadership in their adventures.
