Join the 2018 Arc’teryx Freeride photo competition “King of Dolomites”

The Freeride Photo Contest in the Dolomites combines stunning scenery with awesome powder turns and brilliant photographers. The result:

“mind-blowing shots”

The hunt for the best freeride shot is on: The 6th edition of the Arc’teryx King of Dolomites will take place March 1 – 4 in San Martino di Castrozza, in the Italian Alps. The Grand Finale of the Freeride Photo Contest attracts photographers, skiers, snowboarders and freeride enthusiasts from all over the world, pros and amateurs alike.

During the Grand Finale photographers and freeriders are split into two categories, PRO (invitational) and OPEN. Teams are made of one photographer and two skiers/snowboarders, and they all have the same goal: get the best freeride photo of the Dolomites during those three days. Judges will assess action, landscape and photographic composition. Amateur teams can either register for the OPEN category, or they can qualify to win a PRO TEAM PASS including accommodation and ski pass tickets.

How to win the PRO TEAM PASS:

  • Shoot your best freeride picture during your powder days in the Dolomites.
  • Post your shots until February 24, on Instagram with the hashtags #kod2018 and #KOD2018QS and send three of your best pictures as High-Res version via WeTransfer on kingofdolomites.com/qualifying-stage-2018.
  • The winner will be announced Monday 26 on kingofdolomites.com.

Arc’teryx King of Dolomites starts March 1 with a welcome day, followed by three full days of freeriding and photography. Don’t miss out the King of Dolomites Party at the Ranch on Friday, March 2; the freeride photo exhibition and the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday 4 at 16:30 in the town centre.
