For hikers who want to keep their feet fit for long distances, there is now the Gripsort Anden. A half-high hiking shoe full of ingenuity that can be characterised in seven basic plus points. These advantages are an ingenious sole, smooth handling, optimal protection, soft comfort, ideal for both (Dutch) Pieterpad and the Ardennes, sustainably produced and – as Grisport itself says – an excellent price-quality ratio.
1. Ingenious sole for grip and cushioning
The Grisport Anden has a wear-resistant Vibram sole that gives a lot of grip on both asphalt and marshy, unpaved terrain. The advantage is that the sole has a self-cleaning ability which is nice when you go inside. The sole has a shock-absorbing intermediate layer of high-tec polyurethane. Between this layer and the rubber sole is the R-system of strong nylon that gives maximum stability during walking.
2. Smooth settlement
The walking shoe is remarkably flexible when the foot is being unwound and gives good lateral support. The shoe has bending points at the toe joint and the Achilles tendon that bend with the movement of your foot. The heel cap gives extra stability when you walk uphill. When descending, do not slide forward in the shoe and benefit from the extra toe area. Also, the structure of the insole and the Spo-Tex membrane on the inside of the shoe prevent you from sliding.
3. Optimum protection
The Grisport Anden is made of greased leather (brown version) or Nubuck leather (blue, black and mocha variant) and has a reinforced toe and heel cap. The Spo-Tex membrane in the lining is waterproof and breathable; through microfine pores, perspiration moisture can go out, and the feet stay dry. The anatomical footbed also has high breathability, and it is also removable and antibacterial to prevent odours.
4. Pleasant comfort
The walking shoe is very light and weighs only 695 grams (size 42). He has a spacious entry with a soft tongue and heel shaft and closes neatly everywhere without even pressing anywhere. The heel is well fixed. The sturdy laces are supple thanks to the steel lace-up hooks with rip-proof lacing. Running in is hardly necessary: you walk into the wide world.
5. Very suitable for both Pieterpad and the Ardennes
De Anden is an allround hiking shoe with half-height shaft from the Hiking collection from Grisport. It is ideally suited for long walks in the Netherlands or trips with light packs through hilly terrain such as the Ardennes. A shoe where you can walk for hours without getting tired or burning feet.
6. Sustainably produced
Grisport shoes are manufactured in Italy, on solar energy: the roofs of the factory buildings cover 15,000 m2 of solar panels that provide 70% of the energy required. The company has strict standards when it comes to sustainability, and when selecting materials.
7. Excellent value for money
The Grisport Anden offers unprecedented quality for the very competitive price of € 139.95. He easily measures high-quality walking shoes that are 30% more expensive. The shoe can also be aesthetically pleasing, thanks to the robust Italian design.
